Azur Promilia copium, dodgy top-up sites, and *gasps* Persona and Nier collaborations.

This week in Gacha news brought us familiar collaborations, a ride on the “Will Azur Promilia release globally?” rollercoaster, and Q1 2026 reports being far more interesting than they have any right to be. We also got a Global launch for ALLfiring, but it seems this gorgeous game might be on its last legs based on its Chinese update cadence. My heart may be broken, but at least my bank account isn’t. For now.

Shift Up to publish Stellar Blade sequel without Sony

Goddess of Victory: Nikke developer Shift Up will self-publish its sequel to Stellar Blade, marking a big change from the original, which was published by Sony as a PS5 exclusive in April 2024. This surely means the sequel will come out on platforms other than PS5 at launch, seeing as how successful the Stellar Blade PC port was.

Shift Up’s Q1 2026 earnings report also revealed some slim details on when we’ll get more Project Spirits news (its new “Eastern Fantasy” game), and how well Nikke’s 3.5th anniversary update went.

Persona 5 Royal x Heaven Burns Red collab announced, but not for Global

What’s that? A gacha game collaborating with Persona 5? What a fresh idea! Oh… wait… Well, no need to worry your wallets about this one at least, as Heaven Burns Red x Persona 5 Royal is only coming to Japan. Global is years behind, not even getting the Angel Beats collab, and that went live in Japan in 2023.

If you can play the Japanese version, you can look forward to Mona (Morgana), Queen (Makoto), Violet (Kasumi/Sumire), and Tsukasa Tojo in a Panther (Ann) style from May 22 onwards.

Azur Promilia releases this year in Korea, and there’s hope for a Global launch

It’s a big week for Q1 2026 presentations, that’s for sure, as Pokemon-meets-waifu-collector, Azur Promilia, was revealed as coming in 2026 via publisher Krafon’s own investor presentation. However, it’s also a big week for Global disappointment, as Korea was the only region mentioned. However, however, there’s now an official Global website where you can pre-register for Azur Promilia.

Without any official confirmation, we don’t know for sure if Azur Promilia will get a Global version, and even if it does, its schedule might run behind, à la Heaven Burns Red. But hey, a Global website is at least something… right?

Azur Lane x Nier: Automata is happening

Nier: Automata—the other game stuck in No Sequel, But Here’s a Collab hell alongside Persona 5—is collaborating with Azur Lane, the gacha that turns famous warships into anime gals. Nier characters 2B and A2 are coming in July, and I already love the “2Boat” nickname fans have coined for 2B.

ALLfiring Global version is out now

Called “Ring of Fire: Prometheus” in China, the cute side-scrolling action in ALLfiring caught my attention immediately. But as the Chinese version hasn’t had a lot of content or updates since its November 2025 launch, this Global release could potentially be a last gasp for money before it goes and EoS’ on us. Still, that art style is gorgeous… maybe just a quick peek?

PSA: Don’t use third parties to buy gacha currency

Due to recent hacking and login recording and account selling accusations, now’s as good a time as ever to remind you that VPNs exist. Do with that information what you will, but just keep in mind that it’s always safest to buy from a game or publisher’s official top up site, or directly from inside the game itself. Some games even explicitly state that using a VPN is a bannable offense. I’d rather stick to gambling on my 50/50’s than whether or not my account is going to get banned or not, but it’s up to you.

PSA: There’s a fake Neverness to Everness game on mobile

From the maker for classics such as Tomodochi: Live The Dream Life comes an even bolder ripoff with NTE: Neverness to Everness. Yes, the exact name the actual game is listed under in Google’s Play Store. You’ll know you’re on the fake listing if you see “CLEAN UP PRIVATE Ltd” under the game name. It will say “N2E” on the proper Mint-romacing-simulator you’re actually looking to download. Apple users are safe, as this ripoff isn’t listed there.

Well, did you pull for any of them? I had mixed gacha luck myself, performing Genshin Impact’s oldest meme by losing my 50/50 to Qiqi trying to get Nefer, but got Hotori and Evanescia without going to pity. Losing a 50/50 sure hits different after playing NTE, that’s for sure.
