While we cover games across a wide range of genres and platforms, our speciality is gacha. Games historically grouped by their monetization model, but increasingly recognised for their focus on compelling characters, rich story, regular updates, and deep combat systems.

Founded in 2026 by Jessica Orr, Raiden Gaming was created to provide dedicated coverage for gacha games, as despite being bigger than ever, they often receive only limited attention from mainstream gaming websites. From major global releases, to regional launches in China, Japan, and South Korea, we aim to make it easier for players to discover, follow, and understand gacha gaming.

Who Runs Raiden Gaming?

Raiden Gaming was founded by Jessica Orr, who has been covering video games, and gacha, since 2021.

Jessica spent three years at Eurogamer, where she helped establish and maintain the site’s coverage of gacha games during their rapid rise in popularity. From reviews, news, guides, and interviews and beyond, she wrote about gacha games such as Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Wuthering Waves, Infinity Nikki, and Zenless Zone Zero. Her work has also appeared in publications including PC Gamer, GameSpot, PCGamesN, GamesRadar+, IGN, and GameRant.
