Active codes

Sword x Staff codes are case sensitive, meaning you have to type them exactly as they’re shown above, or they won’t work. A rogue lower case letter when a code is supposed to be all caps will make it invalid, and vice versa.

Expired codes

Occasionally, expired Sword x Staff codes still work for some people. So below, we’ve listed all of the codes showing as “Outside the redemption period” for us, just in case they work for you:

How to redeem Sword x Staff codes

You need to defeat the Corrupted Guardian boss and reach Level 10 before you can redeem codes (it takes about 10 minutes). Once you do this, you can then redeem codes for Sword x Staff in-game. As of writing, there is currently no way to redeem Sword x Staff codes online.

Redeem in-game

1. Tap the box icon in the lower right-hand corner
2. Select “User Center”
3. Tap the green “Gift Code” option
4. Enter the code (they are case sensitive)
5. Press “Okay”

Rewards will then be sent to your in-game mailbox unless you’ve already redeemed that code, or it’s “Outside the redemption period”. Your rewards usually appear in the mailbox right away, but there are occasional delays.

The mailbox is the owl perched outside of your house. It’s the reason you have to wait so long to claim rewards, as you can actually redeem codes pretty much from the start of the game, you just can’t access your mailbox until reaching Level 10 and defeating the Corrupted Guardian.

Remember that each code can only be used once per character. Meaning, you can only reuse a code if you make another character and playthrough.

Where to find new Sword x Staff codes?

The best place to find new Sword x Staff codes as they drop is Discord. Once you join the official Sword x Staff Discord, search for the “gift-code” channel and set notifications to “All Messages” in order to get notified every time a new code is shared there.

That said, not all codes are shared in this channel first, as some are revealed via content creators instead. When this happens, the community in Discord are usually pretty good at sharing the code quickly, but not necessarily in the “gift-code” channel.

What do the best Sword x Staff codes have?

Sword x Staff has a bunch of useful items and currencies, but we reckon that Auroral Badges (especially the Legendary ones) are the best thing to get from a code, as these Relic gacha pulls are rarer than other useful items like Stellatie, Bond Trinkets, and Dawnium. Still, it’s nice when a code features any of these resources! Stellatie and Bond Trinkets are spent on other gacha pulls, and Dawnium can be used for a variety of systems and activities in Sword x Staff, including exchanging for more Stellatie.
