Mario Kart Tour will end service on September 29
“An offline version is not scheduled for release.”
After seven years of banana peels and blue shells on Mobile, Mario Kart Tour is set to end service on September 29 at 11.00pm PT / September 30 at 7.00am in the UK. You can no longer buy the game’s premium currency, rubies, but you can spend them right up until it goes offline.
It’s quite a big day for bad Mobile news, as Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis also revealed that it will EoS in October after three years of service. Ever Crisis didn’t mention plans for an offline mode, whereas Mario Kart Tour gave us an eight-word blow to game preservation: “An offline version is not scheduled for release.” That means tracks exclusive to Mario Kart Tour will no longer be playable come EoS day in September.
Mario Kart Tour originally launched with a gacha system on September 25, 2019, but it proved a little to divisive for its players over the years, so Nintendo removed it in favor of a regular item shop in October 2022. A very rare occurrence for a game with gacha mechanics.

About the end of ruby sales
In conjunction with the end of service, we have ended the sale of rubies starting today, 11:00 p.m. Pacific on July 7, 2026. Note that rubies can be used in the Spotlight Shop, Mii Racing Suit Shop, and Coin Rush until service ends.
About the Gold Pass starting July 7, 2026
We stopped all automatic subscription renewals and new subscriptions to the Mario Kart Tour Gold Pass during the maintenance that was held at 11:00 p.m. PT on July 7, 2026, in conjunction with the game’s end of service at 11:00 p.m. PT on September 29, 2026.

- Players whose Mario Kart Tour Gold Pass subscriptions extend past the start of maintenance at 11:00 p.m. PT on July 7, 2026:
You can continue to enjoy Mario Kart Tour Gold Pass benefits, minus continuous-subscription benefits, until 10:59 p.m. PT on September 29, 2026, for free.
Note: This includes players in a free-trial period.
- Players without a Mario Kart Tour Gold Pass subscription at the start of maintenance at 11:00 p.m. PT on July 7, 2026:
Beginning with the start of the Vacation Tour at 11:00 p.m. PT on August 4, 2026, until 10:59 p.m. PT on September 29, 2026, you can enjoy Mario Kart Tour Gold Pass benefits, minus continuous-subscription benefits, for free.
