Disney Sparklink Stars dropped its first teaser trailer on June 22, then followed it up the next day by revealing key art for the Mobile game’s first male character, who seems to be inspired by Cinderella.

This inspiration hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but Sparklink Star’s Japanese X account did retweet a gif of Cinderella’s dress transformation, posted by Disney’s official Japanese X account, with accompanying text reading: “Dreaming is something no one can stop.”

Credit to Valkyrii on YouTube for uploading the game’s trailer with English text.

Sparklink Stars was previously revealed on May 20, 2026 via its Japanese X account with just the official logo, and information that it was a Mobile game “Coming Soon.”

Comparisons to Disney’s other male character-focused gacha, Twisted Wonderland, were immediately made after its May reveal thanks in large part to Sparklink Stars being developed and published by coly Inc, a Japanese developer known for its otome games. Twisted Wonderland isn’t an otome, but it does fall into the “joseimuke” category, a Japanese term for media aimed at women.

Thanks to information found on the official Sparklink Stars website, we know that the game’s genre is actually labeled as “Spark Rider Training Adventure,” whatever that means. The website also confirmed that the game is free-to-play with in-app purchases, which heavily implies that it’ll go down the gacha route, just like Twisted Wonderland, and coly Inc’s other games.

The website described the game as “The stage where everyone’s dreams come true,” and expanded a little on its setting:

Sparkle Islands – Luminoustair

A futuristic city where every spark of excitement in people’s hearts turns into a touch of magic. Here, the Spark Riders bring you sparkling stages filled with dreams and wishes.

The trailer is mostly text, with an image of a seed and colorful tree popping up in the middle. Here’s the complete English transcript of the trailer, with thanks again to Valkyrii on YouTube for their translation.

Long, long ago, there was a story. There was a small island, bathed in the light of two stars. On that island, which shimmered with a mysterious radiance, people spent their days filled with smiles.

One day, a single, brilliantly shining seed appeared. The two stars watching over the island, as proof of a time filled with excitement, bestowed a gift upon it.

As the seed began to sprout, countless mysterious lights gathered from the sky and the sea. They were stories, filled with dreams and hope, and told throughout the world.

The seed, having become one with those mysterious lights, grew even larger and became a beautiful tree, its branches illuminated by countless lights.

Whenever people smiled. Whenever their eyes sparkled with dreams and hope. Whenever they wished upon a star. Around the tree, countless sparkling particles of lights always danced through the air.

Those particles of light drifted up into the sky, blooming into beautiful stories among the stars.

Before long, those stories spread throughout the island, becoming a wonderful power that guided people toward happiness. And so, the island floating at the edge of the world gradually flourished. And even now, after many long years have passed—

A power once called “Magic” has taken on a new form, bringing wonder and smiles to this land.

Before you get too excited, just keep in mind that Disney Sparklink Stars has only been revealed in Japan so far. And if it goes down the Twisted Wonderland route, we might not see a Global release for quite some time.
